The Group of SAF of Puthoor is one of the older groups of the Province of John Bonal. It started in 1999 and since then, it has walked with the accompaniment of a Sister in charge of it. At present it counts on 31 members (30 Laity and Sr. Margaret Neelakandan), most of them teachers of the school, relatives or friends of the Sisters, all of them catholic, filled with enthusiasm and committed with the style of our Founders.

They meet the first Thursdays of every month, pray together, evaluate the activities of the previous month and plan those of the following month. They receive formation about Bible, life of the Founders and other matters (the Mercy of God, the Basic Document of SAF, Ecology, Health and Hygiene, etc.) They have spiritual preparation for the liturgical seasons and celebrations of Reconciliation twice a year.

They visit orphanages and nursing homes during the patronal feasts, in Advent and Lent; and, along the year, they visit the families of the villages, the sick and their families, pray with them and bring consolation and hope to them.

They also give catechesis in the Parish of Puthoor, help the children to participate in the Eucharist, organize Bible contests, participate actively in the liturgy (Baptisms, Confirmations, First Communions, etc.), collaborate in the Vocational Pastoral and help the needy both economically and medically.

El Grupo de Puthoor es uno de los más antiguos de la Provincia Juan Bonal. Se formó en 1999 y desde entonces ha funcionado con el acompañamiento de una Hermana encargada. Actualmente tiene 31 miembros (30 laicos y la Hna. Margaret Neelakandan), la mayoría docentes del colegio, familiares o amigos de las Hermanas, todos ellos católicos, entusiastas y comprometidos, con el estilo de nuestros Fundadores.

Se encuentran los primeros jueves de cada mes, oran juntos, evalúan las actividades del mes anterior y planifican las del siguiente. Reciben formación sobre Biblia, vida de los Fundadores y otros temas (la Misericordia de Dios, el Documento Base de FSA, Ecología, Salud e Higiene, etc.) Tienen preparación espiritual para los tiempos litúrgicos fuertes y celebraciones del perdón dos veces al año.

Visitan orfanatos y residencias de ancianos durante las fiestas patronales, en Adviento y en Cuaresma; y, a lo largo del año, visitan a las familias de los pueblos, a los enfermos y a sus familiares, rezan con ellos y se les llevan consuelo y esperanza.

También dan catequesis en la parroquia de Puthoor, ayudan a los niños a participar bien en la Eucaristía, organizan concursos de Biblia, participan activamente en la liturgia (Bautismos, Confirmaciones, Primeras Comuniones, etc.), colaboran en la Pastoral Vocacional, y ayudan a los necesitados tanto económica como médicamente.
